Tamiya Hood & E Class Destroyer (1:700)

Highly detailed 1 700 scale model kit of the Royal Navy battle-cruiser HMS Hood and her accompanying E Class Destroyer during the "Battle of Denmark Strait". This model kit is intended to depict the historic "Battle of Denmark Strait", in which the HMS Hood was tasked to hunt down and sink the German battleship Bismarck. During the battle, the HMS Hood engaged the German heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen and battleship Bismarck, and she was struck by several salvos of shells from Bismarck and sank in 3 minutes. Only three men out of the Hood's crew of 1,418 survived. This model kit features two-piece hull construction and movable main guns and torpedo launchers. Can be display with Tamiya's 1 700 scale British battleships Prince of Wales, King George V and Rodney, and German Heavy Cruiser Prinz Eugen to more fully recreate the historic "Battle of Denmark Strait". « less
