My Family: Season 3
The Harpers are in crisis, as usual, when Janey (Daniela Denby-Ashe) leaves for university. Susan's (Zoë Wanamaker) subsequent realization that she's now the only woman in the household begins to take its toll, especially on Michael (Gabriel Thomson), whom Susan now turns to for advice on dresses and make-up. Ben (Robert Lindsay) attempts to help by inviting his cousin's daughter Abi (Siobhan Hays) to stay, but when Abi makes a documentary about typical family life for her college project with the Harpers as subject, it turns out more like a horror picture. Meanwhile, Nick (Kris Marshall) attempts to raise money through a variety of jobs, none of which lasts very long thanks to his abject incompetence.
My Family: Season 4
Changes abound for the Harpers in Season 4. Susan (Zoë Wanamaker) is looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild but dreading being a grandmother. Nick (Kris Marshall) is getting fed up with living in his ghastly flat and is trying to think of a way to move back into the family home. The gap between Michael's (Gabriel Thomson) IQ and the rest of the family's seems to be increasing, but so is his libido. And Abi (Siobhan Hayes) is still Abi, only more so! As for perennially put-upon Ben (Robert Lindsay), between his un-wished for tango lessons and the chaos that results from a new arrival in his surgery, being officially declared dead seems the least of his concerns!
